When we meet Maquia in the beginning of the film she is the weakest most useless teen in her group but by the end we see a strong and unyielding Maquia riding away on a dragon which moved me tears. The other thing I loved about Maquia is the character development, the only thing I love more than a good story is character development.

What I loved this movie was pretty much everything, the storyline was simple and complex and I know you’re reading this thinking how can something be simple and complex at the same time, well its simple in that it follows Maquia who adopt a boy who was stuck in his dead mothers arms, she decides to raise him despite still being child herself, but this can’t be so simple because she doesn’t age so when this now infant hits puberty which he definitely does, his mom still looks fifteen and mecha kawaii, do you see a problem? The lorph are a race of people who age very very slowly and so throughout the movie we see Maquia adopt this baby and even at this now very l’d man’s death bed we see a Maquia who hasn’t aged a day. Maquia starts at a time of war, the lorph are attacked by regular humans and as a result as a people they are scattered. Lol talk about jumping into the deep end, let’s start at the beginning. Maquia follows the lead actress for whom the movie is named and her son Ariel. “Let’s Decorate the Promised Flowers in the Morning of Farewells”), officially abbreviated as Sayoasa ( さよ朝 ), is a 2018 Japanese animated high fantasy drama film written and directed by Mari Okada, and produced by P.A.Works. My opinion only.Maquia ( さよならの朝に約束の花をかざろう, Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana o Kazarō, lit. Overall is that the film might be very good one for Japanese animes lovers, but as for me, it's not masterpiece and worth one time watch only. Where did that child go? Is that child died during labour? Or what happened to him/her? The director should've shown clearly in the film. Even it's boy or girl, the viewers don't get a chance to know. One more reason why I wanted to give one star previously and even though the last scene made me felt that this film was totally worth to watch but I gave only five stars is that they stated Maquia got pregnant, but they didn't state her child. Too emotional and finally, they made a good scene. After many years, Maquia came and visited Eriel and when he's dead, Maquia was next to him, kind of watching him die. As you all see, I gave this one five stars because the ending changed my mind. So, at that time, I've decided to give this one 1 star only. They all are nonsense." And yes, this animation really disappointed me. I even said out loud that "that's why I don't watch Japanese animes.

I mean why would everyone of their kind wants to pregnant with someone they don't know and their enemy? Are they stupid enough to let it happen? Don't they know how to decline? When I saw that scene, I really disappointed. And then later, the same thing happened to Maquia. To be honest, this film was doing fine until a scene where Leilia got captured and pregnant.

You can't possibly lead the story to somewhere you want to be by force. The way it should be is to go with the flow. Most importantly, the story is like the director took it to whatever he/she wanted to be by force. Even with Chinese animations, it can't be compared. This anime really can't compare to American animations. But still, you can compare based on some facts. Each country has it's own style, so, it's very difficult to compare. Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms is a kind of film that is very difficult to write review because it's Japanese anime. That's why most of the films I watch are in English and Chinese languages. That's why I always watch English and Chinese films because I can learn English and Chinese languages from those movies. As for me, films are not only for entertainment, but also for educational material too. Films are for entertainment for some people. Plus, sometimes, the voice actings are not good.

The animations are bad and the characters are not pretty that much. Compared to the American animations, Japanese animes are way below them. Thus, I always considered they aren't worth to watch.

I rarely watch Japanese animes because they are kind of nonsense and the stories are bit of drama, so, it's totally not my taste.
